Psalm 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
The blank stare
The gaze thats really not there
The ashen face
The downcast eye
The hurt deep inside that wont go away
The pain that endures
Through long nights and days
The agony felt
The despair deep and wide
Crying for vengeance but none is nigh
Deeper the ache gnaws at ones heart
Nagging and chiding and biting
Hopelessness seems such a natural thing
Anger and torment
Companions mine
Desperate I struggle
Understanding not why
Crying to God Why take one of mine?
Am I so wicked so bad so vile....
That demanded the life of an innocent child?
God, please forgive me
That rant and that rave,
I know its not Your fault this loss of mine
Just help me to feel Your love and Your grace
And keep him in Heaven, by Your side, Your face
I thank You Lord for the joy that we had
All too soon over
Thats what makes me sad
The memories Ill cherish all my life long
And praise You, my Saviour, for bringing me through.
